PetFinder Posting Volunteer

Purpose of the Role Petfinder is one of the most important tools we use to find forever homes for our cats. This volunteer ensures our cats are showcased online with accurate, appealing, and up-to-date profiles so they can reach the right adopters quickly. Key Responsibilities Create and update adoptable cat listings on Petfinder Upload high-quality photos highlighting each cat’s personality Write friendly, informative bios for each cat, including medical status and behavior traits Update adoption status (available, pending, adopted) as directed Communicate with staff to confirm details and schedule updates Help ensure all listings comply with Petfinder policies and Sanctuary guidelines Skills & Qualifications Basic computer skills and comfort navigating online platforms Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of photos, bios, and medical information Good written communication — able to write concise, warm, and engaging descriptions Reliable, able to meet regular weekly posting schedule Patience and willingness to collaborate with staff and volunteers
