The Payroll Administrator is responsible for completing all tasks required to process two bi-monthly payrolls, including calculating applicable deductions and overtime, and maintaining accurate payroll records. This role manages payroll processing and works closely with the HR team to support benefits administration.
Payroll Administration Handle full payroll process from processing timesheet and calculating wages through ADP platform, oversee tax withholding and benefits deduction Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Prepare bi-monthly payroll reconciliations, and post entries to accounting systems Liaise with auditors and prepare relevant documentation relating to workers comp audit, 401k audit and group audit. Lead the migration to ADP Celergo, to align with HQ Manage state withholding and Unemployment Insurance registration when required Performs other duties as assigned.
Benefits Administration Administers employee insurance programs including life, disability, and health insurance plans. Administers employee savings plans that may include the companys 401(k) plan, personal savings plans, and deferred compensation programs. Facilitates accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers. Completes records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies. Monitors administrators and insurance carriers reports to ensure the organizations compliance with plan requirements. Review all insurance carriers monthly to validate accuracy Ensures the organizations and plans compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification, preferred. Three to five years of related experience required. Knowledge of accounting software Sage preferred A self-motivated individual having a positive attitude and able to work as a team player. Detail-oriented: move quickly but without sacrificing accuracy. Effective listening and exceptional communication skills with ability to convey relevant information to various teams Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
