Position Summary: The

MRI Technologist

performs inpatient magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to assist radiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. This role requires advanced knowledge of imaging protocols, patient care, and MRI physics to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities: Perform MRI examinations of organs, organ systems, and blood flow studies according to established protocols. Operate and maintain

Siemens MRI systems

and related imaging equipment. Ensure accurate positioning and imaging techniques to obtain optimal diagnostic results. Provide radiologists with high-quality images and assist in the interpretation process as needed. Educate and orient physicians, residents, staff, and students on MRI procedures and safety protocols. Adhere to aseptic and sterile techniques during all procedures. Assist nursing staff, including witnessing medication waste and documenting appropriately in

Pyxis . Maintain detailed documentation of scans and patient information within the facility’s system. Follow all departmental and safety policies, including MRI-specific safety standards.

Qualifications:

Education: Completion of an

AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program

or equivalent (typically a two-year college or technical school program).

Experience: Minimum 1 year

of hospital-based MRI experience preferred. Experience with

Siemens MRI equipment

required.

Licensure/Certification: ARRT (R)(MR)

certification required, with active registration. CPR certification (AHA)

required (or within 3 months of hire).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong knowledge of

anatomy, physiology, and pathology , with emphasis on neurological, orthopedic, and cardiac systems. Understanding of

MRI physics , imaging parameters, and contrast techniques. Excellent

analytical, technical, and critical-thinking skills

to perform appropriate scans based on patient history and protocols. Strong

interpersonal and communication skills

for effective interaction with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff. Ability to work effectively in a

fast-paced, inpatient hospital environment .

Additional Information: Location: Baltimore, MD Job Type: 13 weeks- local contract or travel contract Shift:

3x12 Nights (12 hrs)-3:00 PM - 3:30 AM Pay Range/Salary Range: $2676/wk to $2876/wk
