Position Title: Outpatient Trauma Therapist
Reports To: Clinical Director
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: In-person at The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment

Our mission is to help people with trauma and stressor-related disorders achieve healing from past and current trauma through experiential, trauma-focused outpatient therapy. Our team is a collective of compassionate, skilled clinicians who value authenticity, curiosity, and collaboration. We work with a large spectrum of trauma related disorders, including dissociation, C-PTSD, attachment wounding, and childhood abuse/neglect. We utilize experiential modalities such as EMDR, IFS-Informed EMDR, and attachment repair models. The Willow Space is a hybrid payment practice, taking a mixture of insurances and private pay. We offer a supportive clinical environment where therapists can grow their expertise while maintaining curiosity for learning and compassion for clients. Position Summary: The Outpatient Trauma Therapist provides individual therapy to clients experiencing the effects of trauma and stress-related disorders. The ideal candidate is relationally attuned, grounded in trauma-informed care, and eager to support clients on their healing journey through experiential, evidence-based interventions.
You’ll join a collaborative clinical team that values professional growth, open communication, and a genuine sense of connection—both with clients and colleagues. Key Responsibilities: Provide outpatient psychotherapy for individuals, families, and couples experiencing trauma-related symptoms
Complete thorough intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with adjunct providers and community members as appropriate, including other therapists, nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists about client care
Strong time management skills, including managing your own schedule and responding to clients and colleagues in a timely manner
Collect, interpret and incorporate evidence-based screener results into client’s treatment plans
Incorporate experiential and trauma-focused approaches (e.g., EMDR, IFS, somatic interventions) into treatment
Participate in team consultation, supervision, and ongoing case collaboration
Uphold ethical standards and maintain compliance with licensure requirements
Engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities
Uphold The Willow Space’s mission of trauma-focused care through experiential trauma treatment
Qualifications: Required: Active licensure in PA (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, or equivalent). LSW and LAPC are considered with strong clinical background.
Training or certification in EMDR or other trauma-informed modalities
Demonstrated understanding of trauma, attachment, and experiential therapies
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect authentically with clients and colleagues
Commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive clinical practice
Evening availability (3-4 evening slots per week)
Alignment with The Willow Space’s trauma-focused and collaborative environment
Our clients overwhelmingly prefer to meet in person. While we do offer telehealth sessions, this is not a remote-based practice and a large percentage of sessions are required to be held in person.
Preferred: Experience working with complex trauma, dissociation, and/or grief and loss
EMDR Certified, IFS trained, IFS Informed EMDR training, or EFT training
Ability to conceptualize cases through the adaptive information processing (AIP) model
Experience working with families, children, or couples highly valued
Comfort working with distressing and/or emotionally charged material
Familiarity with IFS-informed EMDR or similar somatic approaches
Experience providing telehealth services
Compensation & Benefits: The current opening is for a 1099 position until January 2026, when the practice will be switching to W2 employment.
Applicants must be ok with starting as 1099 and switching to W2.
Hourly 1099 rate: $60-$100/hr, commensurate with licensure, experience, and specialization
W2 rate to be negotiated later with similar compensation, including benefits
Once the role has transitioned to W2 employment in January 2026, the following benefits apply to full time employees: Paid Time Off (PTO)
Paid company holidays
Annual training stipend for continuing education and professional growth
Paid consultation and group supervision
Schedule: Flexible scheduling options available, with preference for clinicians who can offer some evening hours. Must be available for in-person sessions. Full time clinical hours are 25 billable sessions per week.
