We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Personal Injury Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will champion clients who have suffered injuries due to accidents, advocating fiercely for their rights and securing the compensation they deserve. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated legal professional eager to make a meaningful impact through energetic advocacy and meticulous legal practice. *Duties* * Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury claims, including car accidents, slip and falls, and other negligence-based incidents. * Conduct thorough legal research to build compelling cases. * Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and correspondence with clients and opposing counsel. * Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing parties to maximize client recoveries while maintaining professionalism and strategic focus. * Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings with energetic advocacy. * Investigate accident scenes, gather evidence, interview witnesses, and collaborate with experts to strengthen cases. * Maintain detailed case files and ensure all documentation complies with legal standards and firm policies. * Stay informed about developments in personal injury law as well as related fields such as insurance regulations to provide comprehensive legal advice. * Provide clear communication to clients regarding case progress, legal options, and settlement strategies with transparency and empathy. * Collaborate with the law office team on administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing deadlines, and supporting overall office efficiency. *Experience* * Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the State of Maine bar in good standing. * 1-3 years of experience in personal injury law with a track record of successful case resolutions. * Strong negotiation skills demonstrated through previous settlement negotiations or mediations. * Proficiency in legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with Westlaw's litigation tools is highly desirable. * Excellent writing skills for drafting persuasive pleadings, motions, and client communications. * Experience handling litigation from initial client intake through trial preparation is preferred but not mandatory. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. * Legal administrative experience that supports effective case management and office operations.
