Location: Lakeland, FL Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 Why This Opportunity Stands Out for a Senior Accountant Established, growing distribution company with a nationwide footprint Strong focus on collaboration, accuracy, and professional growth Hands-on role with exposure to multiple business units and senior leadership Stable organization offering long-term career potential Competitive compensation and benefits package The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant will prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Support month-end and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement The Senior Accountant will assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on best practices Qualifications of the Senior Accountant Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within distribution, manufacturing, or related industry Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
