Summary: The Warehouse Operations Associate executes day-to-day warehouse functions to ensure excellence in
service, cost efficiency, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, and policy compliance . This position works closely with internal departments and external third-party logistics partners to ensure timely and effective management of warehouse and distribution operations. Key responsibilities include
inventory control, stock reconciliation, shipment coordination, SAP transaction accuracy, compliance monitoring, and logistics performance analysis . The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze stock inaccuracies and ensure accurate stock alignment between
SAP
and the warehouse management system (WMS). Analyze capacity utilization and performance KPIs; identify and implement corrective measures when targets are not met. Partner with service providers to ensure punctual and complete delivery of goods in compliance with
quality and HACCP guidelines . Monitor
inbound, outbound, co-packing, warehousing, and distribution
activities to ensure product integrity, proper shelf-life management, and waste reduction. Participate in
continuous improvement projects , tenders, and seasonal/peak management planning. Prepare
annual cost analyses, budgets, and risk/opportunity assessments . Maintain accurate records of
inbound and outbound shipments
and reconcile discrepancies promptly. Coordinate and communicate effectively with
carriers, brokers, and internal departments
regarding shipments and scheduling. Schedule carrier appointments and build outbound loads to ensure timely departures. Receive inbound packaging shipments, ensure systematic accuracy, and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate yard and trailer inventory records. Manage donation, take-home, and animal feed shipments according to procedures. Ensure proper disposal of expired packaging materials in coordination with inventory clerks. Provide daily operational support to warehouse operators and other departments. Operate a
telehandler
or other equipment for loading/unloading as required. Support clerical and administrative functions within the shipping office.
Qualifications: Required:
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office , with advanced
Excel
skills. Strong
analytical and problem-solving
abilities. Excellent
communication and teamwork
skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred:
Experience in
logistics operations, procurement, or supply chain . Working knowledge of
SAP R/3
or similar ERP systems. Prior experience in warehouse coordination, transportation, or shipping/receiving functions.
