Position Overview

The Part-Time Clerk performs basic clerical and administrative support duties.

What you will be doing

Recommends language courses and registers students Facilitates the enrollment process Assists students with interpreting placement testing results and course selection process Organizes and conducts orientation sessions for new students Refers students to appropriate departments for additional assistance as needed Conducts follow-up activities such as classroom visits to provide early registration assistance and general advisement in order to increase student success and retention Compiles attendance and enrollment data Works closely with the supervisor to offer guidance to students as needed Performs other duties as assigned What you need to succeed

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum of six (6) months of clerical experience All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Working knowledge of clerical work Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written format Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff Additional Requirements

The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
