Our client, a well-established insurance defense firm, is seeking a Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join their litigation team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong litigation support experience to join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, format, and e-file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery documents in state and federal courts. Maintain case files, docket deadlines, and correspondence with clients, courts, and opposing counsel. Draft letters, schedule depositions, and coordinate hearings and meetings. Manage calendars, deadlines, and case-related logistics for assigned attorneys. Provide general litigation support and administrative assistance as needed. Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' experience supporting attorneys in
insurance defense
or general litigation. Proficiency with
Louisiana e-filing
and local court rules. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
