Job Title: Physician or Physician Scientist – Cardiovascular Medicine, Director, Cardio-Oncology (Open Rank/Track Faculty)
Department: The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an academic Cardio-Oncologist to direct the Cardio-Oncology Section within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.
Position Overview The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks a board‑certified or board‑eligible cardio‑oncologist at the associate professor or professor rank, with an extramurally funded clinical or translational research program to lead an elite team of academic physicians. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in both clinical care and research initiatives, leading the Division's Cardio‑Oncology Section with a focus on defining the mechanisms underlying cardiovascular toxicity of oncologic treatments, advancing preventative care, and managing cardiovascular complications from therapy. Responsibilities will include expanding outpatient and inpatient consultative services in routine and complex cardio‑oncology care in our world‑class facilities at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital and the James Cancer Hospital, and Solove Research Institute, advancing cardio‑oncology research, and mentoring junior faculty and trainees.
Requirements
Board‑eligible or board‑certified
Successful completion of a U‑S‑accredited cardiology fellowship
Eligible for an Ohio license
Clinical and extramurally funded research experience desirable
Qualified for an academic appointment at The Ohio State University – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience
Location: Twelfth Ave, 395 W (0356)
Position Type: Regular, Full‑time, First Shift
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
