We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a
Tax Senior Manager or Director
to join our
Trust & Estate Tax
team within our
National Tax
practice! This position is remote, but may require presence at a CohnReznick office on scheduled notice.
YOUR TEAM This role is situated within our National Tax Team and will focus on Trust & Estate work, with the potential to assist with 1040/1041 work as well. You will partner with other technical experts within the tax field and have the opportunity to learn and develop at a rapid pace.

YOUR ROLE Responsibilities
Review complex gift, estate and fiduciary income tax returns;
Review fiduciary accountings for trusts and estates;
Provide tax planning and consulting to high net worth clients for estate and individual income taxes;
Read & summarize estate planning documents, and provide guidance on both federal & state income and death tax treatment;
Research and consult on various estate, gift and trust related issues, such as trustee and beneficiary issues, tax impact of estate administration, and generation skipping tax issues;
Help generate opportunities within existing clients, as well as meet with and pursue new clients;
Prepare & present technical training to specialty group and core tax department;
Have responsibility for managing all aspects of client relationships;
Manage a team of professionals within the group to complete engagements from start to finish.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master’s in Tax is a plus;
CPA or JD is required;
Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience with trusts and estates, as well as high net worth clients;
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a public accounting firm;
Strong tax research skills;
Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment;
Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills.
