A bit about us:

We are seeking an experienced corporate attorney to join a dynamic, fast-paced legal team supporting sophisticated clients in the financial services, investment fund, and private-equity arenas. The ideal candidate will bring at least seven years of U.S. law-firm or in-house experience, strong deal-and-transaction chops, and comfort working across sophisticated regulatory, corporate governance, and fund-formation matters.

Job Details

J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and membership in good standing with the bar of at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Minimum of 7 years’ post-bar admission experience in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department, ideally with a focus on funds, financial services, private-equity or regulated entities.

Demonstrated experience on fund formation work (including private equity, hedge, or alternative-asset funds), as well as corporate and transactional work (M&A, joint ventures, governance).

Solid knowledge of U.S. securities laws, investment-fund regulation, ERISA/tax considerations, and corporate governance.

Excellent drafting and negotiation skills; ability to explain complex legal issues in business terms.

Strong client-service orientation, professional maturity, the ability to manage multiple matters and priorities simultaneously.

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Excellent communication skills (written and oral), and the capacity to build relationships with senior business executives.
