Software Engineer (Java Developer) – Mid/Senior Level (Clearance & Polygraph Required)
Constitute Technologies, Inc is seeking a seasoned Java Developer with extensive experience in enterprise Java frameworks and a current TS/SCI clearance plus active polygraph. Ideal candidates will have at least 14 years of direct, relevant experience and hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Base Pay Range:
$200,000–$235,000 per year.
Qualifications
US Citizen.
Current TS/SCI clearance with active polygraph (CI or FS).
Minimum 14 years of direct or related experience.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace) or related discipline from an accredited institution.
Alternative: five (5) years of additional relevant experience on projects with similar processes may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
Proven in-depth experience with Java and familiarity with multiple Java frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Data, JPA, EJB, JTA, Servlets, Jackson, Jersey, Swing, JavaFX.
Experience with other programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, SQL.
Proficient with IDEs (Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, WebStorm).
Experience with databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server).
Web application UI development; knowledge of AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLT.
Software source control and configuration management tools experience.
Cryptographic system technologies (symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, ASN.1, XML canonicalization, digital signatures).
Development on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
Professional experience with web services.
Strong knowledge of sound software‑development principles and practices.
Excellent planning, prioritizing, and communication skills.
Independent thinker able to deliver high‑quality work individually or within a fast‑moving team.
Nice to Have
Experience with JEE technologies (EJB, JPA, JTA, JAX‑B, JAX‑RS, JAX‑WS), application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss), Spring framework, scripting.
Familiarity with XML/XSD/SOAP/WSDL/XSLT, REST, JSON, YAML, containers (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
Experience with JavaScript frameworks: AngularJS, Bootstrap, jQuery.
Testing and mocking frameworks: JUnit/Jupiter, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Cucumber, UFT, Selenium, FITNesse.
Build tools: Maven, CMake, RPM, Jenkins, Nexus.
Requirements management, secure systems engineering, trade‑off analysis, interface control, testing, continuous integration.
Agile practices: Pair Programming, TDD, Refactoring, ATDD, BDD.
Secure Software development and Layer 7 policy.
Scrum, SAFe methodology, SAFe Agile certification, or experience on an Agile team.
