What You Will Get to Do As a QA Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems through meticulous planning, execution, and documentation of testing activities. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams to validate business requirements, identify and resolve defects, and maintain system integrity. You will develop and execute test automation, deepen your understanding of Retirement Solution technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop automated test solutions for functional and regression testing using C# and BDD tools.
Perform functional and regression testing on code and configuration changes.
Document QA processes and maintain the QA knowledge base.
Integrate automated test solutions into the CI pipeline, including test execution via GitHub Actions.
Conduct exploratory testing aligned with our agile approach and QA best practices.
Collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, Operations, and Client Delivery teams to understand technical changes and testing needs.
Share knowledge and promote best practices in test automation across the QA team.
Build strong understanding of Calastone’s products and functionality.
Support senior QA team members in applying testing standards and automation processes.
Partner with developers to identify, document, and resolve defects.
Knowledge & Skills
Experience testing in financial technology, including XML, JSON, FIX, SFTP, and Swift.
Understanding of European Mutual Funds and/or ETFs.
Strong object‑oriented programming skills, preferably C# or Java.
Experience building .NET‑based automated testing frameworks using BDD tools such as SpecFlow or Reqnroll.
Proven ability to automate REST API and testing with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
Experience testing event‑driven architectures, including Azure Service Bus and AKS.
Knowledge of CI/CD practices with GitHub Actions workflows.
SQL query skills and relational database experience.
Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot or LLMs to enhance automation.
Experience with non‑functional testing (performance, load, stress) using NeoLoad.
Strong grasp of QA automation methodologies, agile processes, and testing principles.
Knowledge of testing techniques such as equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis.
Proficiency with Microsoft technologies: Visual Studio, Azure, Word, Excel, Windows.
Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
ISTQB Software Testing certification (or equivalent).
