We’re hiring our first QA/Test Engineering Lead to build the foundation for a robust, automated testing strategy across our AI-driven backend and recruiter-facing web platform. If you’re passionate about quality, automation, and scaling high-impact systems from the ground up, this is your chance to make a lasting mark. What You’ll Do Lead QA strategy across Octopyd’s backend services and frontend web platform. Build and maintain automated test suites using tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium. Write test plans, test cases, and ensure coverage for core hiring workflows and AI features. Implement API, integration, regression, and performance testing. Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps to ensure reliability and fast iteration. Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure scalable test infrastructure. Help grow the QA team and mentor future test engineers. What You Bring 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation. Proficiency in test frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.). Experience with REST API testing, test coverage analysis, and performance/load testing. Proven ability to establish QA practices in a fast-paced product environment. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Bonus Points Experience working in AI, SaaS, or HR tech startups. Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially AWS). Experience testing user dashboards, workflow-based apps, or B2B platforms.
