Compensation: $235,000 to $390,000 + bonus

Base pay range $235,000.00/yr - $390,000.00/yr

About the Firm: One of the oldest operating law firms with a top-tier reputation in Capital Markets and Structured Finance is seeking talented Real Estate Associates to join its Capital Markets department out of their New York City office. This is a unique opportunity to work on some of the most sophisticated and high-profile commercial mortgage-backed securitization (CMBS) transactions in the market. You'll be part of a lean and collaborative team who advises leading investment banks, private equity firms, and institutional lenders on the origination, syndication, and securitization of commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans. Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in the origination and securitization of commercial mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, and related structured products.

Draft and negotiate transaction documents including loan agreements, intercreditor agreements, and securitization documents.

Conduct legal due diligence on commercial real estate assets and loan portfolios.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including tax, regulatory, and capital markets specialists.

Advise clients on market trends, deal structures, and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

JD from an ABA accredited law school and admission / good standing with the New York Bar

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance, structured finance, or related transactional practice.

Strong understanding of CMBS, CRE CLOs, and/or mezzanine loan structures preferred.

Strong General Finance Associates can be considered as well if they are interested in transitioning to a Capital Markets group.
