Founding Account Executive

Today, we execute AI-enabled SEO playbooks for companies like Replit, Clay, and Rho. Tomorrow, we’ll expand across every major growth channel. Founded in San Francisco, we’ve raised over $20M from First Round Capital, Basis Set Ventures, WndrCo, and angels including the growth leaders from Notion, Airtable, Webflow, and Dropbox. Our investors also include operators like Lenny Rachitsky and Eli Schwartz, author of Product- Led SEO. We’re backed by people who know growth inside and out; and we’re just getting started. We’re hiring our first Founding Account Executive to help scale a GTM engine already closing six-figure SEO and GEO programs with top startups. You’ll own the full sales cycle for warm, high-intent leads; partnering with CMOs, Heads of Growth, and performance marketers investing in SEO, GEO, and paid search, while refining our process, shaping our messaging, and building a repeatable sales motion as we expand across the full growth stack. This role is ideal for someone who’s sold marketing performance solutions and can translate complex capabilities into clear, ROI- driven outcomes. As our Founding Account Executive, you won’t just sell another marketing platform; you’ll help define how growth gets delivered in the AI era. For candidates outside the Bay Area, we offer paid relocation. This is a hybrid role (3 days a week) at our Hayes Valley office in San Francisco. What you’ll do
Manage the entire sales cycle from discovery → proposal → negotiation → close. Run high-context conversations with CMOs, VPs of Growth, and technical marketers. Qualify and convert inbound leads, while re-engaging warm pipeline opportunities. Collaborate with Growth and Engineering to deeply understand our SEO/GEO systems and communicate their value clearly. Help refine pricing, pitch materials, and qualification frameworks as we scale. Bring your understanding of the SEO and GEO/paid search landscape to shape positioning and outreach. What success looks like
Ramping quickly and starting to close inbound opportunities using existing decks and collateral. Building trust with marketing and growth leaders through thoughtful discovery and clear ROI storytelling. Exceeding early quota goals by managing a strong, consistent pipeline. Defining what "great" looks like for future AEs at daydream. Bringing 2-4+ years of B2B experience selling SEO, GEO, paid search, or growth marketing solutions. Demonstrating a track record of closing mid- to- six- figure deals and speaking fluently in performance marketing metrics (ROI, conversion, CAC, etc.). Communicating technical value clearly and persuasively to executive buyers. Thriving in a fast-moving, early-stage environment with high ownership. This role won’t be a fit if you
Don’t have experience selling SEO and GEO, paid search, or digital marketing products or services. Prefer rigid structures or highly defined territories. Shy away from autonomy, iteration, or the pace of an early-stage startup. Compensation & Benefits
