Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer to join our senior leadership team at a hospital/acute-care facility. This role will provide financial leadership across all operations, partnering with clinical and administrative leaders to drive financial performance, growth, and sustainability within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the finance function including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, revenue cycle, and capital planning. Develop and implement strategies to drive margin improvement, cost efficiency, and revenue growth. Monitor and analyze service line profitability, cost structures, and operational metrics to inform decision-making. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accounting (GAAP or applicable standards), and healthcare reimbursement rules. Provide leadership and mentorship to finance, accounting, revenue management and other related teams. Prepare and present timely financial statements, dashboards, board materials, and management reports. Partner with other senior leaders (CEO, COO, CMO, department heads) in strategic planning, business development, and investment decisions. Oversee financial risk management, cash flow, and treasury operations. Collaborate with clinical staff and department heads to align financial targets with operational and quality goals.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required; Master’s preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent credential preferred. Significant Hospital/Medical Center/Behavioral healthcare financial leadership experience (8-10 years +), with prior experience in a hospital, medical centre or acute-care setting preferred. Strong understanding of healthcare operations, revenue cycle, reimbursement methodologies, and financial systems. Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills; ability to lead teams and influence across functions. Experience with ERP systems (EPIC or Maximo), financial modeling and scenario planning in a fast-paced environment.
