Seeking a skilled and compassionate
General Surgeon
to join our dedicated team in Caribou, Maine. This full-time, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity to practice a broad scope of general surgery in a supportive, patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality surgical care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet the health needs of the local community. Key Responsibilities: Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Conduct preoperative consultations and postoperative follow-up care. Participate in emergency and on-call surgical coverage as scheduled. Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, and hospital staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure safe, effective, and compliant care. Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery. Valid and unrestricted Maine medical license or eligibility to obtain one. Current DEA license. Strong clinical skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Seniority level
