PrideStaff Financial on behalf of a client in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced and professional Construction Project Accountant who will focus on project cost control, compliance, and accurate financial transaction processing.
Key Responsibilities: Syncing financial documents (budgets, subcontracts, POs, change orders, invoices, and subcontractor pay applications) between Procore and Sage 100. Preparing the monthly Job Cost Report and assisting with project financial closeout. Investigating variances in project progress and performing account reconciliations. Maintaining project records for crucial documents like certificates of insurance (COIs), releases of liens, payables, and receivables. Updating and verifying subcontractor COI compliance. Creating and submitting government and audit reports such as Certified Payroll and SBE/SWBE/OEO audits. Reviewing and organizing subcontractor AIA payment applications and vendor invoices. Reconciling vendor accounts. Assisting the Project Manager with required documentation for monthly owner payment applications (billing). Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of General Accounting Principles (GAAP), specifically in the Construction sector. Required experience with construction accounting software, specifically Sage 100 and Procore. Experience with Notice to Owner, lien waiver, and sworn statement collection processes High attention to detail and strong follow-through. Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills (both written and verbal) PrideStaff Financial is an equal opportunity employer Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $68,000.00 - $75,000.00
