Responsibilities
Regulate, stabilize, and expand produce markets; facilitate trading and provide for orderly marketing.
Improve quality of agricultural products grown and exported or consumed in Hawaii; enhance competitive status of Hawaii‑grown products.
Protect public and industry against misrepresented products or unfair practices.
Inspector training and certification of the State of Hawaii's agricultural commodities; perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Legal Authorization to Work:
U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or eligible for unrestricted employment.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree with major in agriculture (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Progressive administrative, professional, technical or analytical work experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in agriculture.
Special Ability – Lifting and Carrying:
Ability to lift/carry objects up to 50 lbs. unassisted and 100 lbs. assisted.
Driver’s License:
Valid Hawaii driver’s license.
