The Staff Accountant will play a key role in payroll compliance, tax filings, and accurate financial reporting-directly supporting leadership while contributing to a company that is transforming the future of healthcare. Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant: Accurately process recurring payroll cycles, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Respond to payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner.

Oversee multi-state payroll, employment, and business compliance requirements, including registrations, filings, and renewals.

The Staff Accountant will prepare, file, and reconcile Sales and Use Tax returns across multiple states.

Complete monthly reconciliations of payroll liabilities, accruals, and other key balance sheet accounts.

Manage state filings, correspondence, and tax resolution matters with regulatory agencies.

Support general ledger entries, assist with month-end close, and prepare schedules for reporting.

Partner with finance leadership on audits, special projects, and process improvements.

What You'll Bring as a Staff Accountant: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2-4 years of accounting experience (public or private), ideally including payroll and multi-state compliance.

Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory filing requirements.

Experience preparing Sales & Use Tax filings and reconciliations.

Proficiency in accounting software (Sage Intacct experience a plus) and advanced Excel skills.
