Your role

What you’ll do: At SCA, you’ll play a key role in driving our mission to keep communities clean and safe across the country. As a new Recruiter, you’ll help shape operations, support our field teams, and deliver critical services that make a visible impact every day. Whether you\'re leading people, optimizing processes, or providing essential support, your work will contribute directly to our success—and to the communities we proudly serve.

Your daily impact

• Sourcing: Identify, engage, and attract qualified talent using various tools and strategies, including job boards, Boolean search, and direct outreach. Internal sourcing & attraction.
• Candidate Screening: Evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, and fit through structured resume review & initial interviews.
• Recruiting ATS: Use applicant tracking systems and candidate relationship tools to manage requisitions, candidate data, and workflows.
• Hiring Manager Partnership: Build effective relationships with hiring managers, providing consultative support on job requirements, market trends and hiring strategies.
• Interviewing: Conduct structured and behavior-based interviews to assess qualifications and cultural alignment.
• Candidate Experience: Deliver timely, respectful, and personalized interactions that create a positive impression of the organization.
• Data & Metrics: Use recruitment data to track performance, improve pipeline efficiency and inform hiring decisions.
• Compliance & Ethics: Understand and apply legal and ethical recruiting practices, including EEOC and SCA policies.
• Offer Management: Prepare and negotiate offers aligned with internal equity, candidate expectations, and organizational guidelines.
• Regular & Predictable Attendance: Consistently report to work on time and as scheduled.

Minimum job requirements

• 1 year of recruiting or recruiting coordinator experience
• Driver recruiting experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
