AdventHealth Orlando Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando
Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America
AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country
We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year
The role you\'ll contribute
Participates in the quality care of our patients by providing medical physics services at or above the state and federal requirements as well as meeting any national standards of care in radiation oncology. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful of all. The value you\'ll bring to the team
Supports the administration of the radiation safety program, including compliance with regulatory agencies, staff training, and supervision of radioactive source handling and disposal.
Performs dosimetric calculations for external beam, brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceutical therapy, ensuring accurate treatment planning and delivery.
Supervises medical physicist assistants or medical physics residents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
Conducts weekly chart reviews and other checks of treatment plans to maintain high standards of patient care.
