Production Support Engineer (Splunk/DynaTrace)
Location: Plano, TX / Pennington, NJ

Senior Application Programmer
Process Overview
The suitable candidate shall support running the day-to-day operations of the SIPH application environment. Lead triage calls, keeping the necessary focus on restoral, making sure all necessary teams are engaged and focused on their tasks, and providing updates to leadership and stakeholders regarding progress toward restoral via tools, email and phone. Must be flexible, adapt easily to changing priorities and be able to learn about a variety of technologies very quickly. Review and decisioning infrastructure and application changes. Work closely with our application development team on miscellaneous items. Additional responsibilities include: - Identify opportunities for monitoring and automation. - Drive Prot Problem management process to get to root cause and corrective items. - Develop tools, dashboard, Reports, alerts or process using various tools like Splunk, Introscope etc. to aid and improvise monitoring and day to day tasks to reduce resource overhead. - Evaluate and participate in Changes/Releases. - Identify stability and risk items in Production, work with various teams to remediate and ensure environment availability, stability and resiliency.
Job Description
Hands on experience with Database (Oracle Teradata)
Hands on experience in core Java and J2EE technologies
Experience in Job scheduling tool - Autosys.
Knowledge on monitoring tools like ITRS Geneous, Splunk, Dynatrace, Remedy
Experience with creating dashboards, reports, alerts, saved searches, and automations as per user/stakeholder requirements
Experience with configuring inputs and new connections with Splunk DB Connect
Knowledge on ITIL concepts like Incident and Problem Management
Knowledge on Incident Management (ITSM Remedy, MyITSM)
Must have previous production support experience.
Willing to be flexible sometimes with providing stand‑by out‑of‑hour support on rotational basis for production system (as needed)
Good understanding of financial/banking industry
Creative and strong problem‑solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to operate in high‑pressure situations
Results oriented, and must be able to effectively interact with Senior Management and Business Partners
Responsibilities
Support includes research, triage, defect resolution, compliance, and all other production support functions.
Provides on call support for incident/issue triaging and will coordinate with various support teams across the organization.
Communicates with line of business and management the overall status and health of the application.
Looks for areas of improvement in monitoring, application stability, and speed of determining root cause.
Performs trouble shooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and programming skills and conducts root cause analysis.
Work closely with Technology Infrastructure Teams, Development Teams in supporting Integrated / Independent releases, software/hardware upgrades, server upgrades etc
Real‑time restoration and triaging of issues impacting technical services (application/infrastructure) to bank customers and partners in a timely manner while keeping partners advised of significant progress or challenges during the restoration period.
Assess initial severity, gather impacts, creates tickets (My ITSM), engages necessary support teams, and escalates as necessary to ensure timely restoration.
Participate in Disaster Recovery and Resiliency Exercise.
Excellent communication skills. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical partners.
Must be willing and able to express new ideas, concerns, and opinions directly to wider team in team meetings face‑to‑face and via remote‑working tools.
