Overview Mayde Creek Animal Health Center, located at 3355 North Fry Road, Katy, TX 77449, is seeking an experienced Lead Associate Veterinarian to join our small animal clinic. We provide a comprehensive range of services including Surgery, Laser Therapy, Dental Care, Dermatology, and more.

Our 8,000‑square‑foot facility houses an advanced surgical suite, laboratory, Digital X‑rays, Dental X‑rays, and Ultrasound equipment to support high‑quality diagnostic medicine.

Responsibilities / Qualifications

Responsible for the ongoing evaluation and management of clinical practices as well as the delivery of patient care.

Monitor associate doctor performance and production.

In conjunction with the hospital manager, help drive financial performance of the hospital, including revenue generation and expense management.

Explain physical examination findings, communicate diagnosis to the client, and present a treatment plan; educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.

Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and ensure all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols; assist colleagues with follow‑up and future patient management.

Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine; attend Continuing Education meetings.

Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.

Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.

Treat every client like family and each patient like your own pet.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.

Licensure in good standing to practice in Texas.

3+ years of leadership/management experience (preferred).

3+ years of experience as a veterinarian (required).

Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.

Ability to lead the team through a variety of cases.

Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.

Compassionate team player who upholds a great reputation with clients.

A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics.

Proficiency in surgery.
