Lead Veterinarian

Join our full‑service animal hospital caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, and pocket pets. We provide routine medical, surgical, and dental care and focus on client education for year‑round pet health.
Overview The Lead Veterinarian delivers high‑quality patient care and builds rapport with clients. Responsibilities include physical examinations, surgeries, dentistry, client communication and education, and team leadership.
Responsibilities / Qualifications
Ongoing evaluation and management of clinical practices and patient care.
Monitor associate doctor performance and production.
Help drive financial performance with revenue generation and expense management.
Explain exam findings, provide diagnoses, create and present treatment plans, and educate on preventative health.
Maintain client/patient records, ensure logs are updated, and assist colleagues with follow‑up and future management.
Stay current with veterinary medicine, attending continuing education.
Develop the paraprofessional team to deliver high‑quality care and exceptional client service.
Represent the hospital professionally in the community and to the public.
Treat clients like family and patients like your own pet.
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing for the state of application.
3+ years of leadership/management experience (preferred).
3+ years of veterinary practice experience (required).
Professional comportment, excellent interpersonal skills, friendly attitude.
Ability to lead team through a variety of cases.
Respectful and willing to work with clients and pets.
Compassionate team player upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
Proficient in surgery.
