Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the Senior Manager, Individual Giving is responsible for cultivating and stewarding the individual donor pipeline to meet overall fundraising goals. The role focuses on growing new donors, deepening relationships with current donors, and overseeing the Database Management Specialist.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee and work closely with the Director of Philanthropy to formalize an Annual Giving program and grow the pipeline through a data‑driven approach.

Maintain a donor portfolio of 100+ individuals with emphasis on securing leadership‑level donations ($1,000+) and growing lower‑level donors through calls, virtual and in‑person visits, and solicitations.

Implement and support meaningful opportunities to engage prospects and donors from all walks of life, including donor portfolio management, special event solicitation, and collateral development.

Collaborate with the Director to build and move donors through the donor pipeline via cultivation and stewardship.

Coordinate a calendar of donor engagement events, ranging from evening and weekend soirées to small gatherings with constituents and the CEO.

Develop plans to reduce donor attrition, re‑engage lapsed donors, and establish longevity with first‑time donors.

Oversee planned‑giving society activities such as promotional materials, member solicitation, and annual recognition events.

Ensure effective giving appeals, donor acknowledgment letters, stewardship communication, and the creation of solicitation materials and annual impact reports.

Manage the Database Management Specialist to guarantee quality data entry, portfolio management, reporting, and process improvement.

Actively participate in key meetings and discussions as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Annual Fundraising Event: She Leads

Work closely with the Fund Development and Marketing Communications team to execute the annual fundraising event, She Leads, and achieve the individual giving fundraising goal.

Maintain a portfolio of individual prospects related to ticket and sponsorship sales.

Collaborate with the Database Management Specialist to develop and manage partnership portfolios for the CEO, CERO, Senior DOD, and Board of Directors to achieve revenue goals.

Prepare compelling prospect and donor materials such as letters, proposals, and stewardship reports.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date donor records in the CRM database.

Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor in all interactions.

Demonstrate flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

At least 5 years of professional fundraising experience with a track record of successful 4‑5‑figure gift solicitation.

Detail‑oriented, organized, goal‑oriented, with high initiative and energy.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with donors and colleagues.

Exceptional writing skills and the ability to craft compelling donor communications.

High organizational ability, adherence to deadlines, and capacity to manage concurrent projects.

Solid computer skills, including knowledge of donor databases (Raiser's Edge) and fundraising tools (DonorSearch, iWave, MailChimp, GoFundMe Pro, Classy); proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe design suites.

Collaborative relationship building with the mission delivery division.

Independent judgment in collecting and analyzing donor information to develop cultivation and stewardship programs.

Effective interaction with internal and external constituencies.

Experience organizing and supporting special events.

Desire to work in a motivating, intelligent environment.

Some regional travel, weekend, and evening work required.

Recommended Education, Training and Experience

College degree in a related field or comparable work experience.

CFRE certification is a plus.

GSGLA Employee Requirements

Comply with state‑mandated reporter training.

Attend GSGLA signature events and/or other assigned activities.

Successfully complete a live scan and background check.
