Job Description We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced Senior Vice President to lead our Application Development function, driving the design, development, and delivery of innovative, scalable, and secure software solutions within the financial services and wealth management sectors. This executive role requires a strategic leader with deep technical expertise in full‑stack development, including modern UI frameworks such as Angular or React and Java‑based backend systems, combined with proven success managing medium to large, distributed Agile teams. This role is located in Lake Mary, Florida.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the entire application development lifecycle, aligning technology initiatives with business goals, regulatory requirements, and organizational needs.

Manage medium to large‑sized or multiple small teams responsible for all phases of systems development and implementation, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Architect and oversee the development of complex, high‑performance full‑stack applications using Angular or React for frontend and Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, Microservices) for backend services.

Collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, compliance teams, and clients to translate business strategies and requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant technical solutions.

Champion Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps best practices to enhance delivery speed, quality, and operational efficiency.

Oversee application programming and analysis projects, ensuring availability, integrity, and stability of production systems through resource management and rapid response processes.

Communicate and enforce strict adherence to development, security, quality, and compliance standards, continuously monitoring and ensuring regulatory compliance in financial services.

Advocate for change management, encouraging innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement in technology solutions.

Recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff to maximize individual contributions, professional growth, and effective teamwork.

Manage resource planning, budgeting, vendor relationships, and talent acquisition to build and sustain a high‑caliber development organization.

Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to maintain competitive advantage.

Represent the technology function in executive forums, providing insights on technology trends, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.

10+ years of experience in systems analysis, program development, and software engineering, with at least 3 years in senior leadership roles managing medium to large-scale application development teams.

Proven ability to manage multiple development teams and contribute to team and organizational objectives.

Deep hands‑on expertise with modern frontend frameworks (Angular or React) and backend Java technologies (Spring Boot, Hibernate, microservices architecture).

Strong understanding of financial services, wealth management, or related regulatory environments.

Proven track record implementing and scaling Agile practices across large, distributed teams.

Exceptional leadership skills with experience in talent development, performance management, and building high‑performing teams.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership alike.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on delivering business value.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps culture.

Exposure to data security, encryption, and compliance standards such as GDPR, PCI‑DSS, or SOC 2.

Experience in the securities or financial services industries is a plus.

Salary & Location Lake Mary, FL: $116,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year, inclusive of base salary and potential variable components such as bonuses and equity.
