Project Overview Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a liquefied natural gas (LNG) production and export facility on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project scope includes two identical LNG trains, two LNG storage tanks, one LNG carrier berth, and associated utilities and facilities, to be constructed on land along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur.

Job Summary Lead a team to manage industrial hygiene (IH) support and services on projects, ensuring IH requirements are integrated into design criteria and operational planning, overseeing research, assessments, incident resolution, risk mitigation, and compliance, and providing technical guidance for successful environmental, safety, and health (ES&H) program execution.

Major Responsibilities

Supervise a component of an industrial hygiene program, including technical and administrative aspects.

Supervise assigned IH personnel and guide their work activities.

Provide technical support within ES&H teams and to Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Startup, Operations, Legal, Contracts, Procurement, Management, and other functions regarding ES&H program execution.

Confirm that IH requirements are integrated in planning documents, design criteria, construction and commissioning plans, schedules, and subcontract documents.

Prepare, or help prepare, safety and health management plans and awareness and training programs in compliance with Bechtel standards, the ES&H Management System, and contract and regulatory requirements.

Emphasize and use risk assessment, data analysis, and Bechtel’s ES&H Management System to track and achieve continual improvement.

Prepare technical and regulatory reports, research issues to support ES&H program execution, evaluate data, and report performance trends.

Participate in ES&H emergency response planning and confirm investigation and resolution of safety and health incidents.

Conduct inspections, monitoring, and sampling to assess ES&H compliance with contractual commitments, laws, and regulations, and Bechtel requirements.

Serve as subcontract technical representative for support involving subcontracted IH services.

Education and Experience Requirements Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) related to industrial hygiene and 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Ability to research and comprehend organizational and regulatory requirements.

Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders, technical writing, and analytical abilities; demonstrated understanding of ES&H management systems.

Ability to integrate environmental, safety, and health factors into program execution.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Computer skills for preparing presentations, managing data, and report preparation.

Analytical skills related to industrial hygiene sampling and monitoring.

Adaptability and willingness to work outdoors in a field environment under project site and weather conditions.

Ability to support various work shifts as needed.
