Float Phlebotomist – Pride Health – Tewksbury, MA
Pride Health is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Tewksbury, MA. This is a 3‑month assignment with the possibility of a contract‑to‑hire opportunity.
Location & Schedule Location: Tewksbury, MA (floating positions available in Lowell, Tewksbury, Reading, and Melrose). Schedule: Monday through Friday rotating hours between 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., with every 3rd weekend.
Pay Rate: $22 – $25 per hour (determined by experience, licenses, and certifications).
Responsibilities
Perform blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and decontamination.
Record maintenance data and update patient information.
Explain venipuncture and specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously.
Use straight needles and/or butterfly needles for venipuncture.
Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.
Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperature.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience.
