Senior Fund Finance Associate (Hedge Fund)
Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
Our client is a Dallas-Fort Worth based Alternative Asset Manager (Hedge Fund), who is seeking a Senior Finance Associate. This role will support Portfolio and Asset Management activities and will be responsible for NAV/P&L oversight, cash management, responding to inquiries and liaising with the Front Office. The role will also coordinate and manage third party valuation firms and funds’ external third-party fund administrator (Private Credit/Debt Instruments and/or Direct Lending highly preferred).
The role will work and collaborate with various departments within the firm, including Deal team, Operations, Investor Relations, Management Reporting, Tax, and Legal and Compliance.
Responsibilities
Oversee and lead the companies financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, auditing and financial operations
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams on various initiatives impacting the financial reporting of the company including all financial metrics and KPI’s
Assist in preparation of annual GAAP financial statements, including the coordination of year-end audit inquiries from our external auditors.
Create executive presentations of financial results for review with senior executives
Support external audit engagements including managing and coordinating with auditors and external service providers, and preparation/review of audited financial statements and footnote disclosures
Identify risks, implement controls, and maintain proper process documentations
Provide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is a must, CPA preferred.
2+ years accounting experience out of Public Accounting or Private Accounting team is a plus, including prior Fin Services (strongly preferred).
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Revenue Recognition is needed
In depth experience working with general ledger and financial analysis, including journal entries and doing detailed account analyses.
Experience or interest in accounting for Data or Technology Service companies
