Job Purpose The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in coordinating the shipment, receipt, and inventory management of avionics parts, components, and equipment. This position ensures that all incoming and outgoing materials are accurately processed, documented, and handled safely to meet quality and regulatory standards. Additionally, the Clerk collaborates closely with the customer support team, supervisor, and internal departments to optimize delivery schedules.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (M‑F, Hours 8:30 am‑5:30 pm) Essential Job Functions
Receive inbound units as stock repair, external customer repair and/or core return
Enter Repair Order data into the ERP system and create Sales Order
Evaluate unit's requested repair to determine possible current stock exchange opportunities vs external repairs (ISMRO)
Communicate potential ISMRO opportunities to the appropriate salesperson and follow up
Transfer Repair and/or ISMRO paperwork for the unit to the appropriate salesperson
Process the transfer of items intended for external repair or internal stocking and/or shipping or shelving
Provide routine communication to Repair Stations on status of open Repair Orders
Pull, pack, and ship work orders
Responsible for the proper handling, receiving and shipping of all customer parts and supplies received into and leaving the shop
Receive all parts from outside vendors, keeping all related paperwork and parts together
Ship parts to customers as per specified shipping instructions utilizing FedEx, UPS and DHL Software
Ensure all shipments are packaged neatly and properly to prevent damage
Schedule and track Outside Vendor parts to meet projected scheduling
Pick‑up or arrange for pick‑up at local area vendors who do not deliver or when a priority situation demands
Complete and file Shipping Check List
Ensure the work area is always kept clean and safe
Marginal Job Functions
Knowledge of general office clerical procedures
Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to regularly exercise sound judgment
Safety Requirements
Will participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices and compliance
Will participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries
Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance and equipment operation requirements
Physical Demands
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level
Occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weights of up to 70 pounds
Repetitive hand movements and manual dexterity required
