How you'll make an impact This position leads maintenance of all critical systems at the LA SiriusXM location. Position requires both practical and theoretical knowledge of high reliability power systems. This position will apply detailed knowledge of SiriusXM critical systems implementation, maintenance and repair techniques, managing preventative maintenance schedules and external vendors performing preventative maintenance and service.
What you'll do
Operate, maintain, monitor and repair all facets of primary owned and leased infrastructure including, electrical systems, mechanical systems, building automation.
Review, manage and operate all monitoring systems including Building Management System (BMS), electrical power distribution, pre-action fire panels, emergency/generators and battery monitoring systems.
Support and consult with Corporate Facilities, Engineering, Operations and/or Security while participating on cross-functional teams.
Conduct periodic surveys and makes recommendations to enhance capabilities and/or correct operating vulnerabilities.
Oversee third party contracts and ensure compliance to specifications and terms.
Implementing and supervising Preventative Maintenance programs for all electrical switchboard, distribution systems and mechanical systems. Maintain inspection records.
Lead vendors, contractors and cross-functional teams in completing project implementation.
Supervise vendors during preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Critical Infrastructure Management
Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of all critical systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, UPS, generators, fire suppression using a truck-based support model.
Work with management teams to develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and reliability.
Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance evaluations.
Office Space Management
Utilize office space management software to plan, allocate, and optimize workspace utilization.
Coordinate office moves, seating arrangements, and space reconfigurations to support organizational needs.
Collaborate with HR and IT departments to support employee needs and enhance workplace experience.
Team Leadership & Reporting
Lead and mentor onsite contracted facilities staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Prepare and present regular reports on facility operations, maintenance activities, and space utilization metrics.
What you'll need
Associate Degree in Power Engineering, HVAC or related area or comparable field experience in critical systems environment. Bachelor's degree is a plus
5 years experience supporting critical systems in a Data Center, Broadcast, or comparable environment.
Must be available to provide emergency support on a 24 x 7 basis.
Must be able to travel to other Company locations or vendor sites.
OSHA 10 training or equivalent safety training.
Knowledge of commercial electrical, mechanical systems and facility operations.
Knowledge in AutoCAD and ability to read MEP drawings.
Operating and implementation abilities on Building Management Systems and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Familiar with Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM) systems.
Ability to perform troubleshooting on critical system elements.
Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Google based documents.
Demonstrated understanding of commercial building power generator/switchgear/Paralleling Synchrogear/Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Closed Transition Switches (CTS), Static Transfer Switches (STS) and Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS). Previous experience supporting Liebert UPS, Square D electrical gear, ASCO gear, generators a plus.
Familiarity and understanding of building monitoring system operations.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule when needed.
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and engage in physical activities to access all areas of facilities; able to lift 50 lbs.
Able to maintain professional demeanor and make decisions in high pressure environment.
Lead vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams in managing projects.
Troubleshooting, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

At SiriusXM, compensation details; base salary range is $82,000 to $126,000, depends on skills and experience. Eligible for discretionary incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
