Position Summary Under direct supervision, the incumbent provides drug information and assists physicians in providing appropriate drug therapy for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The incumbent compounds, prepares, mixes, manufactures, and dispenses medicines and preparations. The incumbent also oversees medications prepared by Pharmacy Technicians. This position reports to the Director, Pharmacy.

Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of unit dose systems, IV admixture, chemotherapy, clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and drug use evaluation required

Graduate of an ACPE‑accredited school of pharmacy with a PharmD degree

Current registration as a pharmacist in the State of California prior to start date

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications

2 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred

PGY1 residency

Current PALS certification preferred

Where You'll Work Mercy Medical Center Redding, a 267‑bed hospital in the North State, provides acute care and a full range of medical services, including a Level II Trauma Center, specialized Cardiovascular Care, Stroke Care, Orthopedics, Neurological Surgery, Comprehensive Cancer Care, Maternity Care, and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole provider of obstetrical services and the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. The hospital network includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living. Mercy Medical Center Redding is part of the Dignity Health system.

Pay Range $66.26 - $98.56 per hour
