An established law firm is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with at least one year of experience to join its Frederick, Maryland office. Practice area: Adoption Law, Divorce Law, Family Law - General
Base pay range: $110,000.00 / yr – $120,000.00 / yr
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, and adoption cases.
Conduct client consultations and maintain open communication throughout case progression.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
Attend court hearings, mediations, and conferences under attorney supervision.
Conduct legal research and assist in developing case strategies.
Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all deadlines.
Support senior attorneys in negotiations and trial preparation.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of family law experience (or closely related practice areas).
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active Maryland Bar admission in good standing.
Strong communication and advocacy skills.
Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.
Desire to build a long‑term career in family law and client advocacy.
