$24/hr - $30/hr
Position Overview
This Customer Service/EDI Specialist will join a collaborative Operations team, reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager, and will be responsible for complete order processing and management. Responsibilities Of The Customer Service/EDI Specialist
Serve as the primary point of contact for wholesale accounts regarding orders, shipments, and product inquiries.
Manage all EDI transactions, including order entry (850), acknowledgments (855), advance shipping notices (856), and invoicing (810).
Monitor EDI transmission errors and coordinate with IT or EDI providers to resolve issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with customer routing guides and vendor requirements.
Verify order accuracy, pricing, and inventory availability before confirming with customers.
Coordinate shipping schedules with Warehouse and Logistics teams.
Handle returns, chargebacks, and credit memos in accordance with company policy.
Maintain detailed records of customer communications and order statuses within ERP/CRM systems.
Provide data and reporting support to the Sales and Operations teams as needed.
Contribute to continuous process improvements in customer service and EDI workflows.
Required Experience/Skills for the Customer Service/EDI Specialist
Minimum 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or order entry position.
Working experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Systems.
Proficient in MS Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, and formulas).
Ability to meet deadline requirements and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, identify, and address problematic situations.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Customer Service/EDI Specialist
Experienced in working in the wholesale industry.
Experienced in working in the fashion and retail industries.
Experienced in working within other areas of retail operations.
Education Requirements
Associate's degree or higher is preferred but not required for this position.
