The Department of Microbiology & Immunology and the Institute on Infectious Diseases (UMIID) at the University of Minnesota Medical School invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty position to be filled at a new Assistant Professor level.
We seek scientists working in the area of RNA virology who will establish a competitive research program with focuses to include emerging viruses, virus‑host interactions, viral immunity and innate immune regulation, virus evolution, and systems virology. Candidates will help further the scholastic mission of the department and the Institute on Infectious Diseases by developing robust innovative research programs and by aiding in teaching and training of undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.
Qualifications PhD, MD, or equivalent in a relevant field of study, plus applicable postdoctoral experience.
Pay and Benefits Pay Range:
$110,000 – $130,000 (depending on education, qualifications, and experience)
Time Appointment:
75% – 100% appointment
