Construction (QA) Inspector – Airfield/Roadways Pavement Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is hiring a

Construction (QA) Inspector

for airfield runway and pavement projects in Anchorage, AK.

Salary:

$80,000–$100,000 per year (based on experience).

Responsibilities

Perform and support a three‑phase inspection system.

Conduct detailed inspections of airfield runway construction improvements and pavement resurfacing to ensure workmanship meets contract, project plans and specifications.

Provide daily QA reports documenting all activities observed for each on‑site day.

Review and analyze construction contractor progress and daily reports.

Ensure safety requirements are met, including EM 385‑1‑1 and OSHA regulations.

Monitor submittals using a submittal status log.

Review design, comment logs, back‑checking, and verify accurate as‑built drawings.

Review and comment on the accuracy of contractor payment requests.

Maintain an Inspectors Site Inspection Report.

Assist in responding to RFIs, modifications and change orders.

Participate in pre‑final and final inspections and support punch‑list preparation and verification.

Qualifications

U.S. citizen, able to pass federal background and drug screening.

High school diploma or GED with at least 7 years of construction inspection experience; or Associate Degree or Technical Training with at least 5 years of experience; or Bachelor of Science with at least 3 years of experience.

Paving Inspector Certification from the Asphalt Institute required within 30 days of start date.

Experience with RMS 3.0 preferred.

Knowledge of EM 385‑1‑1, OSHA rules and related safety requirements.

Demonstrated experience with quality assurance inspections, submittal review, contractor pay verification, and daily reporting.

Preference for experience on federal construction projects, especially U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Strong professional presentation skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail.
