The Bay School of San Francisco is committed to educating the whole person and values athletics as a vehicle for character development. It is a member of the NCS, CIF, BAC, and BCL. Job Requirements

Assist the Head Coach with 1½ to 2-hour afternoon practices Monday‑Friday, beginning no earlier than 3 p.m., and Saturday practices. Attend all games, which may require availability earlier than 3 p.m. Attend occasional athletic department meetings and school events as needed. Hold or obtain NFHS coach certification. Job offers are contingent upon clearing LiveScan fingerprinting, TB risk assessment, and completing mandatory trainings: first aid/CPR, concussion awareness, heat illness prevention, sudden cardiac arrest in athletes, mandated reporter, anti‑harassment, and bloodborne‑pathogen prevention. Ideal Candidate

Strong athletic knowledge and experience in baseball with a desire to build or maintain a successful program. Previous coaching at the high school and/or college level preferred. Experience playing at the college level or above preferred. Professional and positive demeanor with colleagues, students, and parents. Enthusiasm for developing teenagers as student‑athletes and good citizens. Strives to build teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship. Resonates with the school’s mission and philosophy, especially around diversity, equity, and inclusion. Energy to work in a small independent school environment. Excellent organization, time‑management, and communication skills. Ability to provide and incorporate constructive feedback. Commitment to serve as a role model for young student‑athletes, inclusive of culturally responsive coaching. Dedication to anti‑bias and equity work. Commitment to innovation, professional growth, and reinvention. Valid CA driver’s license and willingness to drive a school van to/from practices and games. Application
