Base Pay Range $60.00/hr - $100.00/hr
Lawtrades' client, a Fortune 50 company, seeking an experienced Senior IP Paralegal. In this role, you will primarily partner with the Intellectual Property Legal team to protect and enforce the company’s global IP rights. You will also collaborate with cross-functional legal teams, including Supply Chain and Energy Products, supporting business units such as Global Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of intellectual property law, including patent and trademark filing processes, and is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This is a full-time, on-site, six-month contract opportunity. There may be temp-to-perm eligibility for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Manage IP portfolio data, including patent and trademark application filings.
Maintain IP docket data, including renewals, office action responses, and reporting for attorneys and technical teams.
Oversee the internal invention disclosure system, coordinate patent prioritization processes, and manage inventor meetings with outside counsel.
Handle annuity payments for IP matters and maintain proof-of-use catalogs for trademark applications.
Serve as an on-site notary for inventor documents and powers of attorney related to IP filings.
Support execution of standard commercial agreements, including brand licensing and non-disclosure agreements.
Manage team administrative functions such as budget tracking, invoicing through Legal Tracker, legal support ticketing, and shared mailboxes.
Qualifications
10+ years of paralegal experience, including substantial experience with patent data management and docketing (experience with IPfolio preferred).
Active Notary Public commission.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to identify problems proactively and propose pragmatic, creative solutions.
Capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Curious, adaptable, and energized by continuous change and learning.
