Job Overview This is a grant‑funded position with an expected duration of five years (2023‑2028) and potential extension based on continued funding. The Team Lead will supervise Graduate Research Assistants (GRAs) and Undergraduate Research Assistants (URAs) during family‑facing research visits conducted in participant homes, public spaces, and the BIRC Center on UGA’s campus.

Responsibilities

Research Visit Leadership (50%) : Lead home drop‑offs, consent procedures, and on‑site visits; oversee the team during all visits.

Team Coordination (20%) : Meet weekly with research teams to review protocol adherence, discuss challenges, and provide updates to project leadership.

Data Oversight (10%) : Monitor data collection during visits and manage post‑visit data uploads.

Family Communication (10%) : Prepare families for visits, answer questions, obtain informed consent, and troubleshoot equipment.

Resource Management (10%) : Organize URAs to assist with visit preparation, track supply use, and place replenishment orders.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with school‑age and early adolescent children in research and pseudo‑medical settings.

Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully both orally and in written form.

Competence in managing schedules of multiple RA employees and ensuring adequate coverage.

Understanding of protocol flexibility to balance participant comfort and research integrity.

Proficiency in following standardized research procedures and monitoring others in real‑time for protocol adherence.

Physical Demands Lifting research equipment no more than 10 pounds; sitting at a computer as needed.
