Responsibilities
Lead and mentor maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability
Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and ensure adherence to safety rules, GMPs, and food safety standards
Coordinate daily maintenance schedules and partner with operations to minimize downtime
Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability
Conduct safety and compliance audits, implementing corrective actions where needed
Collaborate with production, QA, and engineering teams to support operational goals
Track and analyze KPIs such as OEE, yield variance, and downtime performance
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean, 5S, and root‑cause analysis
Manage staffing plans, training, and performance development for the maintenance team
Support capital projects, equipment installations, and process optimization initiatives
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
4–6 years of maintenance or production management experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
Proven leadership and people‑management skills
Experience implementing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs
Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and OSHA safety standards
Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CMMS/ERP systems
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to multiple shifts as needed
Comfortable working in varying temperatures and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
