This role is crucial for ensuring our manufacturing processes and products consistently meet the highest quality standards. You'll be responsible for establishing effective quality control systems, conducting thorough root cause analyses, and leading initiatives for continuous improvement. Success in this position requires strong problem‑solving skills, proven capability to deliver process effectiveness, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative approach with cross‑functional teams to boost product performance, process capability, and production efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes in manufacturing using PFMEA, PCP’s, QMS and Lean principles
Monitor and analyze production process capability to ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.)
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues
Perform internal and supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality requirements
Collaborate with design, production, and supply chain teams to improve product & process quality
Establish and maintain documentation for quality standards, procedures, and inspections via ISO9001 standards
Utilize statistical process control (SPC) & six sigma tools to identify trends and improve manufacturing efficiency; measuring and improving capability is fundamental
Support new product development and process validation activities (CQV lead)
Train teams and departments on quality standards, best practices and data utilization
Work closely with suppliers to improve incoming material quality and reduce defects.
You will be working with Marketing, Procurement, R&D, Sales, Process Engineering, Operations, and Quality Building Services as well as suppliers and customers.
Responsible for instructing, directing, developing standards for trials that reduce risk and assure we are providing product conforming to our internal specifications.
Use of problem‑solving, process mapping, PFMEA, control plans, measurement system analysis and SPC required. Experience creating and analyzing DOE data required.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or statistics or equivalent field
Minimum of 7‑10 years of experience in plant quality and/or continuous improvement roles
ASQ certification preferred
Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and problem‑solving methodologies (8D, FMEA, etc.)
Proficiency in quality tools such as SPC, DOE, and statistical analysis software
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of ISO‑9000, auditing and quality tools & testing is required
Working conditions: Varied environments including offices, production plant, distribution sites & field locations
Travel Requirements: as needed, up to 75%
