About The Position

fill a 13 week opening with

a

Lead MRI Technologist travel clinician

at their

imaging center

located in White Plains NY

starting ASAP.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly qualified professional to join a facility and deliver high-quality, compassionate diagnostic imaging services in a challenging and rewarding environment. As a Lead MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients for diagnostic purposes. Your role is vital in ensuring patient safety, comfort, and the accuracy of diagnostic imaging while adhering to all facility and regulatory protocols. Details Location:

Three 12-hr shifts 8am to 8p with a 2 week rotation State License Needed:

NYS RT License with Injection Pay:

Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and request the removal of all metal objects, which are hazardous when the magnet is activated. Patient Positioning:

Position the patient on the examining table and accurately place the specified coil (receiver), such as a head or knee coil, close to the area of interest, following protocols requested by the Radiologist. System Operation:

Enter data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, and scan orientation into the computer. Key commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers. Safety & Monitoring:

Demonstrate the use of a microphone for patient-technologist communication. Observe the patient through the control room window to continuously monitor safety and comfort. Proficient in MRI Safety and MR Zones knowledge. Quality Assurance:

View images on the display screen to ensure the quality of pictures. Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality. Contrast Administration:

Administer contrast agents under the direct guidance and approval of the site Radiologist, according to site-specific protocols. Technical Maintenance:

Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems. Call for service and notify all pertinent team members when necessary. Compliance:

Cooperate with facility healthcare personnel and comply with facility policies/procedures, all safety policies, and regulations. Maintain current licensure to practice in all states in which services are performed. Continuing Competency:

Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in training programs.

Job Requirements Education/Experience : Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates and Licenses: ARRT registered as an MR Technologist (ARRT-MR). New York State Registered Technologist with Injection (NYS RT License with Injection). Active BLS training. Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS Suite (including MS Office word processing software), GE RIS-IC, AMBRA, and PACs. Core Competencies: Demonstrated ability in Problem Solving, Customer Service, Adaptability, Dependability, and Quality-oriented practice.
