This is a non-bedside role focused on patient coordination and administrative duties, offering the opportunity to support clinical teams and enhance patient care processes. Position Highlights
Location: Palo Alto, CA Setting: Hospital – Ambulatory & Specialty Clinics Start Window: December 2025 Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential for extension Schedule: 5x8s (40 hours/week) Shift: Days Required Qualifications
Must be a traveler (permanent address 50+ miles from the facility) CA RN License Minimum 3+ years of RN experience (inpatient or ambulatory) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS EPIC EMR proficiency Prior travel RN experience Nurse Coordinator experience preferred but not required Preferred Background
Minimum 2 years of inpatient or ambulatory nursing Experience in a specific specialty area (multiple units available ie. Endoscopy, Oncology, Surgery and more) Strong organizational and communication skills Additional Compliance Requirements
TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable) Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and clients; proficiency in English required Computer proficiency required What You’ll Do
Perform administrative and coordination duties to support patient care, including: Managing phone calls and in-basket messaging Processing medication refills Symptom triage Providing administrative support for clinics and providers This role does not involve direct bedside care, making it ideal for nurses seeking a transition into coordination and administrative responsibilities.
