About the Position We’re looking for a Purchasing Manager to help guide the operations of the purchasing and receiving departments.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Research price, service and quality of operation requirements and recommend the best option to maximize pricing and quality in keeping with the Hotel’s standards.
Document all purchases through the Hotel Purchase Order System and liaise with department managers and suppliers regarding deliveries.
Review and approve period‑end purchasing management reports.
Direct period‑end inventories to determine costs.
Manage the receiving department for timely arrivals and distribution of products.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in business or hospitality.
Two years hotel departmental management experience.
Proficiency in English, excellent communication skills, ability to work well with others, and proven rapport with suppliers and guests.
Benefits The hourly pay rate for this role is $32.00 to $35.00. This rate applies to jobs performed in Washington, DC. The starting rate is believed in good faith; it may be modified. Additional compensation may be awarded based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, travel, and other business needs. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, and many other benefits to eligible employees.
