The Role As a Store Manager, you are a charismatic leader with exceptional service and sales acumen. Reporting to the District Manager, you will drive growth and awareness of Mejuri in your store and market, lead teams by example, motivate employees, and create an engaging, inclusive environment that exceeds customer expectations. You are accountable for managing profit, people, and process, partnering with People Operations, Retail Operations, Marketing, and Merchandising to exceed targets.
Responsibilities Revenue & Profitability
Oversee store financial health and profitability, driving revenue and exceeding targets.
Manage store spend and seek cost minimization opportunities.
Review and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly business and people results, creating strategic plans with the District Manager.
Support the store team in setting and achieving KPI goals, fostering a culture of performance, cost awareness, and accountability.
Mitigate risk, resolve gaps or roadblocks to profitability, and protect assets, including theft, inventory accuracy, and shrinkage.
Partner with Visual Merchandising to ensure correct assortment and depth that drive profitability and sales.
People
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and positions are filled at the right times.
Participate in sourcing, assessment, and selection of talent, building infrastructure for growth.
Integrate and onboard new talent, ensuring clear performance assessments and retention of high performers.
Maintain a positive, engaging work environment and uphold responsible live‑week management standards.
Provide learning opportunities to build a sustainable talent pipeline and uphold Mejuri’s compensation philosophy.
Address compliance practices and partner with People Operations to resolve escalations.
Customer Experience
Lead by example, ensuring quality in‑store customer experience through training and high expectations on Mejuri’s Steps of Selling.
Provide coaching and support to staff and Assistant Store Manager on customer service and product knowledge.
Drive client strategy to build lasting relationships and new customer acquisition.
Promote services such as piercing, engraving, and other offerings.
Brand
Act as an ambassador of Mejuri’s culture and values inside and outside the company.
Identify marketing initiatives to increase new and repeat customers and community engagement.
Partner with Marketing & Store Services to host one event per quarter, including Fine Crew & Piercing events.
Build relationships within local communities to boost brand awareness.
Operations
Provide day‑to‑day support to ensure objectives are achieved while maintaining operational, brand, and product standards.
Escalate opportunities, gaps, risks, and roadblocks with urgency; partner with cross‑functional teams.
Work with Operations teams to hold monthly inventory & cycle counts, ensuring proper technology and troubleshooting support.
Champion best practices and execute maintenance of all store functions to operate seamlessly and achieve KPIs.
What You’ll Bring
Experience in high‑volume retail stores.
Understanding of local market and requirements for new store openings.
Financial management experience with a record of driving top‑line sales, interpreting reports, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses.
Exceptional leadership capabilities with a proven ability to attract, develop, and motivate talent.
Demonstrated commitment to service excellence in a consumer environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong local knowledge of retail trends and networking ability.
Desire to work in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment that values experimentation.
