About the Opportunity Optomi, in partnership with a leading global consulting firm, is seeking a QA Automation Engineer (Salesforce Lightning). This role focuses on designing and implementing robust automation frameworks using TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber to support enterprise‑level Salesforce applications. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on engineer passionate about test automation, continuous integration, and delivering defect‑free software across agile teams.

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate
Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for Salesforce Lightning using TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber (BDD).
Implement shift‑left testing strategies and integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Docker).
Partner with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure testing is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, product design reviews, and quality‑focused discussions.
Analyze user stories and requirements to define, develop, and automate appropriate test cases.
Troubleshoot complex issues and conduct root cause analysis to improve overall test coverage and reliability.
Mentor QA team members in automation scripting and best practices.
Maintain documentation of test environments, data management strategies, and testing standards.
Experience of the Right Candidate
6+ years of experience in QA automation with both UI and API testing.
Hands‑on experience in CI/CD environments using Git, GitLab, and Docker.
Familiarity with Salesforce APIs (JSforce) and SOQL queries preferred.
Understanding of API testing tools (REST-assured, Postman, SoapUI, Swagger Hub).
Strong knowledge of TDD/BDD/ATDD practices and white‑box testing concepts.
Experience with AWS, REST services, and automation across the full solution stack is a plus.
Excellent communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
