About Us Bush & Bush Law Group is a growing litigation firm committed to excellence, client service, and innovation. We seek a visionary and hands‑on technology leader to drive our IT infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, and legal‑tech operations.

Position Summary As CTO, you will be a key member of our senior leadership team, responsible for guiding and executing the firm’s technology strategy. You will ensure our technical infrastructure and systems support our legal operations seamlessly and securely.

Base Pay Range Base pay: $100,000.00/yr – $150,000.00/yr

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Implement and maintain efficient, modern, and reliable phone/telephony systems across our office locations.

Lead the IT and cybersecurity strategy: safeguard data, protect systems, enforce compliance and best practices.

Oversee customization, enhancement, and optimization of our case‑management system (Smart Advocate) to support legal, operations, and administrative teams.

Manage the firm’s overall technological infrastructure: servers, network, cloud/hosting, endpoint devices, integration between systems, communications, and user support.

Collaborate with partners, practice managers, and staff to understand operational needs and deliver technology solutions that add value, reduce risk, and drive productivity.

Stay current with legal‑tech trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory/compliance developments to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role (e.g., CTO, VP IT, Director IT) — ideally within a law‑firm or legal‑services environment.

Strong background in implementing telephony systems, managing IT operations, cybersecurity frameworks, and enterprise‑level case‑management platforms (preferably Smart Advocate or similar).

Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Deep understanding of legal workflows, case‑management systems, and the technology needs of a law firm.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred). Relevant certifications a plus (CISSP, CISM, ITIL, etc.).

Strongly prefer candidates who are based in Dallas or willing to relocate.
